Welcome to Rutas Fotos Info (Routes Photos Info)!
About Us: The Faces Behind the Route
We are Slavia and Fernando—partners in life, travel, and the pursuit of the perfect sunrise.
We believe the Andes isn't just a mountain range; it’s our backyard. We traded the predictable rhythm of a stationary life for four wheels and the open road, turning the vast landscapes of South America into our living room.
Meet the Team
Slavia: Hailing from Arica, Chile, Slavia is the soul of our journey. With a background as a cook and a sharp eye for local flavors, she brings a culinary critique to our travels that goes beyond the surface. She doesn't just find the best views; she finds the heart of a culture through its kitchen.
Fernando: Born in Germany, raised in the energy of New York City, and carrying both Bolivian and Chilean roots, I am a product of many worlds. My background is rooted in hospitality and photography. Before moving into a van, I built and managed:
Hotel Esmeralda – Coroico, Bolivia
Cafe Woodstock – Santa Cruz, Bolivia
Arica Beach Rental – Arica, Chile
Why "Rutas Fotos Info"?
We didn't want to create just another travel magazine. We wanted a resource that felt raw, real, and full of heart. Having spent decades in the hospitality industry, we understand what makes a place special. We don't rush. Our philosophy is simple: Take Our Time. By traveling at our own pace, we can immerse ourselves in small towns, document hidden gems through our lenses, and provide you with the most accurate, first-hand information for your own overlanding adventures.
Our Expertise
Whether we are navigating a 2008 Mercedes Atego through the Paso de Jama or scouting the best light for a landscape shot, we bring a professional eye to everything we do.
Photography: Capturing the spirit of the Andes is my passion. You can see my portfolio and visual journey on www.Flickr.com (click on link)
Overlanding: We specialize in the high-altitude routes of Peru, Bolivia, Chile, and Argentina.
Local Insight: With Slavia’s Chilean heritage and my deep Bolivian roots, we offer a perspective that most travel sites miss—the bridge between the international traveler and the local soul.
Join us as we explore the Andes, one kilometer at a time.
